SANDS supports many commonly used file formats for various datasets, occasionally an unsupported data format needs to be read into SANDS. Files can be edited/reformated to facilitate the use of the automated data imports. I.e. edit your file to match one of the supported types. This can be done using a text editor, one great example is 'Textpad' this also allows macros to be saved so the re-formatting of the data can be undertaken automatically and on multiple files. If a client has a large volume of unsupported data to import, or has an ongoing need to use an unsupported file format, it may be more efficent to discuss production of a new import with the SANDS team.
